Please cancel or rearrange your appointment if any of the following apply to you –
If I usually come out to just do your hair, I will be asking you to come to my home salon. This is to as much as possible, reduce the amount of people I see, bringing my kit into lots of different houses and will enable me to generally keep my hygiene standards to a maximum.
IF YOU ARE COMING TO MY HOME SALON
IF I AM COMING INTO YOUR HOME
Please be understanding and follow these guidelines. I have put these in place to keep you, myself and everyone else safe. My business is just me and I have to do my best in these times. I have lost 3 months income and if I cannot work because I have to isolate or get the virus, it will mean more unpaid time, off or worse, unable to do a bridal party! So please please be honest in declaring symptoms. We all need to work together to keep the virus on the decrease and get back to normal.
Thankyou
Robyn x
- You or anyone in your household or bubble is showing symptoms of Covid-19 (fever, new and persistent cough, change in sense of smell, taste etc) or you or anyone in your household is in self isolation for symptoms or because of the government’s track and trace.
- You have a cold or feel generally unwell.
- You or anyone in your household or bubble has travelled abroad within the last 2 weeks.
- You have come into contact with anyone showing symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 2 weeks (when you came into contact with them or they have developed symptoms within a week of your visit) or in self isolation for any reason.
- I will not charge for any cancellations due to any of the above (or lack of childcare), no matter how late and will try my very best to get you back in after the 2 week period.
- I reserve the right to turn you away or leave your home immediately if I suspect you or any of your household is showing symptoms, any of the above come to light or you refuse to follow any of the guidelines listed below.
- You will be required to fill out a form on arrival for the NHS test and trace service. This is a legal requirement and I will refuse service to anyone who does not fill out a form. If you are coming to my home salon and have the NHS Covid-19 app, you may scan the QR code and use this instead. You do not need to do both.

IF YOU ARE COMING TO MY HOME SALON
- Please come to your appointment alone. If you are unable to get childcare you will need to reschedule your appointment.
- If you arrive early to your appointment, please text or call me from the car to see if I am ready for you. I have nowhere for you to wait if I am still cleaning down from my previous client.
- Please do not bring a coat, unnecessary items or bags and please try not to bring your handbag in with you if possible. Please come in clean clothes.
- Everyone must wear a face covering for the entirety of their appointment (children under 3 do not need to wear one) I will be wearing a face covering and safety glasses. Do not touch or fiddle with the mask whilst wearing it. If you do, sanitise your hands straight away (hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be readily available to the station for use on your hands and phone.) Please bring your own face covering. I will charge 50p per mask if you don’t have one.
- On arrival to my home I will take your temperature. If you have a high temperature, I will ask you to leave and call to reschedule.
- Remove your shoes and do not touch anything on the way up the stairs. Go straight to the bathroom (up the stairs to the left) and wash your hands with soap. Dry your hands on the paper towels provided and dispose of in the grey plastic pedal bin.
- I can provide hot or cold refreshments in disposable cups. Only remove your mask to take a drink, you must replace it immediately afterwards. When you have your mask removed, please remain facing towards the mirror. Please refrain from using the toilet if possible.
- When I am washing your hair at the basin, please do not talk. We will be face to face at close proximity and the chance of infection will therefore be increased, even with masks. Not talking will decrease this risk.
- When I am blow drying your hair, please do not talk. Air will be being pushed around the room and again, it will be safer to stay silent.
- Please pay using bank transfer if possible, to limit the use of cash. I can provide my bank details prior to your appointment to make it quicker at the appointment if needed.
IF I AM COMING INTO YOUR HOME
- On arrival I will take the temperature of everyone in the household. If anyone has a high temperature, I will leave immediately and call to reschedule.
- Everyone having their hair done or parent who is holding the child having their haircut must always wear a face covering during the appointment (children under 3 do not need to wear a mask) I will be wearing a face covering and safety glasses. Do not fiddle with the face covering whilst it is on, if you do, sanitise your hands immediately. Please have your own face covering. I will charge 50p per mask for anyone who does not have one.
- Please only have in the house people that live at the address and people whose hair I am doing while I am there.
- Only the person whose hair I am doing will be in the room with me at one time. If you wish your appointment to be outside that is absolutely fine. I will need a small, clean table and a power source.
- I will be bringing into your house as little as possible, this may mean multiple trips to the car and your appointment may take longer.
- Please ensure my workspace is cleaned and disinfected before I arrive and you have clean hair and clothes.
- I will not be providing shampoo and conditioner to use so please make sure you have your own. I will require you to wash your own hair and/or colour off.
